Role Profile
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Plant Category who will report to the Director of Ingredients and lead the Plant Category team which is one of 4 key pillars of the Tirlán Ingredients business. 
The role gives both authority & responsibility to grow the business from current Irish sourced oat based offering to a wide range of plant ingredients into traditional applications of breakfast cereals and lifestyle as well as emerging opportunities in dairy alternatives and plant based proteins. 
The candidate will have the vision and drive to lead the plant category team to identify relevant growth opportunities in core markets of EU and North America. The candidate will have an ability to design and execute strategic growth as well as building relationship within the team and across the various functions of a multinational company to meet & exceed customer needs.

Responsibilities
    Support the Plant Category Team comprising of category management, sales and marketing to work with wider shared support functions across the Tirlán Ingredients business to deliver the opportunity
    Oversee strategic customer relationships and build solid top to top relationships with key decision-makers
    Identify, evaluate and ultimately deliver new customers based on the existing product portfolio and product innovation
    Energize and excite a team capable of managing the core business and creating new opportunities and ensure ongoing support and personal development of team, setting development targets, identifying areas for improvement mentoring and creating challenging goals
    Grow the business at pace through both M&A as well as expansion of internal production capability
    Expand product offering from existing markets of EU and North America to Asia & MEA
    Work with Tirlán Agri, Quality & Ops teams to ensure competitive product offering

Requirements
    Prior experience in plant based business will be a distinct advantage
    Track record of delivery across previous roles
    Proven ability to develop and strengthen teams in order to maximize profitability and deliver against plant category targets
    Proven ability to work across multi functions in a global business 
    Strategic agility to identify appropriate opportunities in fast emerging plant market
