Role Profile

The Tirlan Milk Finance Team is responsible for managing all aspects of supplier milk payments (including delivery of necessary IT enhancements), supplier analytics & statistics (including support to milk forecasting function) and delivery of all Innovative new supplier initiatives (including supplier financial solutions).

A temporary vacancy has now arisen for a Supplier Payment Specialist within the payments team. Based in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny, reporting to the Milk Finance Team Manager, the purpose of this role is to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the supplier milk payments. Central to this role is the delivery of accurate and timely payments to our milk suppliers on a bi-monthly basis.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly accrual & charges for whole-milk purchases
  • Ensure milk system accurately reflects all current prices
  • Prepare timely reports for review and approval
  • Delivery of accurate and on-time payments to milk suppliers on a bi-monthly basis
  • Key contact for all milk payment related data with other group stakeholders
  • Maintain step action guides for all key processes
  • Ensure monthly milk volumes are reconciled to payments
  • Reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis through Blackline
  • Journal preparation & posting in SAP
  • Assist with requirements definition for system developments and user acceptance testing

 

Key Requirements

  • Qualified/part- qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Audit and Compliance beneficial
  • Excellent IT skills including good command of Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP and Blackline is desirable
  • Exceptional analytical skills; detail oriented and well organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Motivated, with a drive to improve process & development
  • Knowledge and understanding of dairy/agricultural industry advantageous
