Role Profile
We have an exciting opportunity for an AMF (anhydrous milk fat) Process Manager, based in the Dairy / Butter & AMF Plant. The successful candidate will report to the Butter Plant Manager and will be responsible for AMF production planning, scheduling, production, quality assurance, Health & Safety, and product dispatch and shipping. 


•    Work with and be part of the dairy butter management team.
•    Promote and implement best practice Health and Safety policies and procedures.
•    Manage and schedule AMF plant activities to optimise efficiency in accordance with production plan. Complete daily and weekly mass balance tasks.
•    Receipt of raw materials, product traceability and production losses.
•    Stocks management and finished product dispatched.
•    Manage and schedule AMF dispatch activities including administration duties.
•    To ensure adherence to product food safety and Regulatory requirements.
•    To support and provide technical input to the Dairy / butter facility. 
•    Front line management and efficient optimisation of labour in terms of shift cover, holidays, and absence management.
•    To actively identify and implement process improvements that can deliver maximum benefits to the business using lean manufacturing principles, in line with our Business Excellence principles. 
•    To lead, provide support and technical help with problem solving of plant and quality issues.
•    To interface with operators, maintenance, management and planning personnel.
•    Manage the area in line with GMP, to assume responsibility for internal hygiene audits, external customer audits and updating of quality / SOP manual.
•    Prepare PIR’s for capex projects as required. 
•    Comply with HR policies and procedures in dealing with staff issues.
•    Develop and coach plant operators and cleaners as part of the management team.
•    Effective communication at the right time to ensure the highest standards of empowerment and teamwork.

•    Experience with milk separation and dairy processing is desirable.
•    Ability to work to tight deadlines with strong planning and scheduling skills.
•    Proven people management and communication skills.
