Role Profile

The successful candidate will support the Agribusiness Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Manager in ensuring the integrity of financial processes and financial and management reporting for the Agribusiness category (division) with key responsibility for the consolidation and reporting of period end and all planning processes. 

 

Location:  Hybrid / Kilkenny

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate, timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.
  • Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and decision making.
  • Preparation of weekly cash forecasts for the business unit.
  • Maintenance of the balance sheet & production of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems and processes in line with evolving business needs.
  • Input into schedules required for statutory reporting and tax compliance.
  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors as required.
  • Ownership & control of SAP data uploads in relation to Budget/Forecast in supporting the planning process.
  • Advocate for adherence to the Group Policy manual and procedures and keep informed of updates to ensure ongoing compliance of ledgers under their control.

 

Key Requirements

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA)
  • 2-3 years post qualification experience ideally in a multinational organisation or medium to large practice.
  • Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing.
  • Can interpret complex financial and commercial issues and communicate proposals to stakeholders.
  • A self-starter, with a high degree of analytical rigour with the ability to think commercially and strategically while working with detail.
  • A strong team player who can challenge and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design would be an advantage.
