Role Profile

An exciting opportunity for an IT Business Partner (ITBP) has opened up in Tirlán's Consumer and Ingredient Commercial categories, based in our Head Office, Kilkenny.  The ITBP serves as the business relationship link between the IT function and the senior stakeholders in the Categories/Functions covering key areas such as service management, relationship management, risk management, opportunity management and engagement with subject matter experts on strategic development and solution discovery. The IT business partner should have a full understanding of the Category/Function Strategic KPIs and how digital is enabling and can further enhance the metric results. Working with the Categories and Functions to ensure the benefits have been extracted from business investments. The ITBP proactively serves as a trusted advisor, and is the primary IT point of contact to ELT and Senior stakeholders. The role will also be the IT Service owner for the MyMilkMan (MMM) platform which is Tirlan’s Direct to Consumer platform for Doorstep deliveries of Consumer Dairy brands.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Key enabler of the Tirlán IT Strategy, the IT Business Partner will be responsible for implementing key elements within the relevant Category and function
  • Conduct regular service reviews with both the ELT and SLG for the relevant Category and Function
  • Work with the business to understand needs / challenges and proactively identifies opportunities for digital to add value
  • Liaise with the various IT teams to ensure the Category/Function is receiving the appropriate service to meet their needs
  • Conduct regular reviews with Tirlán IT vendors to address service level management, risk and opportunity management, budget considerations, contract renewals, vendor roadmap plans etc.
  • Work with IT subject matter experts on both Strategy and solution development to ensure each Category/Function has a Digital Strategy and implementation plan. Chair engagements with senior Stakeholders to progress the Strategic agenda.
  • Work with Category/Function stakeholders and the IT community to transform business requirements into project proposals working through the various pre-project activities – Solution evaluation, Business Case compilation, Capital submissions etc.
  • For Tirlán specific solutions, with assistance from IT subject matter experts perform market scans and evaluations bringing projects to proposal stage, and if approved ensuring the projects progress through change management to completion
  • Working with the various functions within the IT community to address risk management and liaise with both internal and external audit teams on the ownership, execution and follow up actions relating to audits
  • Conscious of the financial performance of the IT function, challenging prioritisation of projects on a cost benefit basis and ensuring value for the service delivered by the wider IT team
  • Conduct maturity and capability assessments to ensure the required skillsets are in the business to exploit existing and emerging digital capabilities
  • Responsible for coordinating on-going benefits realization assessments versus business case post IT project go-live
  • Establish a complete, accurate and prioritised pipeline of all IT demand across relevant categories and functions via efficient demand management; control and reporting mechanism
  • Drive IT communications across Tirlán to provide visibility and transparency for the business
  • Oversight of the IT budget for the respective category/function
  • IT Service Owner for the MMM platform

 

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a leading IT environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior relationship management role
  • Experience working with Customer Engagement platforms
  • Previous experience working with strategic partners
  • Knowledge and experience in working with ITIL concepts and processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creativity and Innovation skills
  • Strategic and Organisational Agility
