The opportunity
Glanbia plc is seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst, who will work closely with the Group FP&A team and business partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive and support Group analysis and forecasting. This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the Group FP&A Manager.
- Assist in the monthly performance and forecast Board reporting process
- Support the preparation and review of Corporate FP&A processes (including month end reviews and budgets/forecasts), identifying areas for potential cost savings
- Assist in preparing the Group’s capex reports, analysing performance and supporting investment decisions
- Support the annual Group financial strategy and planning process
- Support the development of integrated Group performance models to support strategic planning and provide valuable insights for the business through analysis of data
- Assist in the ongoing development of the Group FP&A function within the wider finance function and its support of key stakeholders
- Other ad-hoc work as required including supporting various group wide projects sponsored by senior management
The experience you will bring to the team
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with retained membership of the relevant accounting body
- Results driven individual with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualification accounting and commercial experience ideally gained in a multi-national environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information, combined with a strategic mind – able to see the big picture.
- Strong written communication and reporting ability with ability to communicate to stakeholders across various levels and functions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and present to senior management.
- Willingness to visit business unit locations, which may require international travel.
- Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines.
- SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Word, PowerPoint skills are essential.
- An ability to work on their own initiative, to deadlines, within a team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a global business environment.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better.
