Glanbia Business Services (GBS) is the Global IT and Finance SSC function which serves all of Glanbia’s global locations and operations. Our Business Solutions team support Glanbia’s global businesses in the provision of best-in-class business systems to enable and digitise their business strategies. We base our solutions on best-in-class solution suites – including SAP for ERP and JDA/ Blue Yonder (BY)  for Supply Chain Planning.

 

The role

A vacancy has arisen within Supply Chain Planning business systems team for an IT Business Analyst – Supply Chain Planning Systems (JDA / BY). This position sits within the Global SCM Systems COE team and reports into the Lead Business Analyst, SCM Planning.

 

 

 

Location

The base location of the roles will be in either our Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin office locations, with  hybrid working arrangements available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

 

Key elements of the role:

  • Participate in multiple (and sometimes concurrent) implementations and continuous improvement projects on JDA / BY  systems, including working on such activities as:
    • Definition of project scope, based on workshops with business representatives, and knowledge of Glanbia’s Global JDA / BY SCM Planning solution.
    • Definition of JDA / BY systems blueprint based on workshops with business representatives.
    • Systems build activities including configuration, investigation of enhancement points, and integrations, and writing techo-functional programming specifications, unit testing etc.
    • Systems testing cycles, and training material preparation.
    • Go-live planning and execution and providing hyper-care post-live support.
  • Design, develop and deliver enhancements in relation to specified mini-projects and change requests in the JDA / BY solution area.
  • Work together with supply and demand planners to identify ways to improve and optimise processes and systems to more fully leverage the JDA / BY systems capabilities and to respond to ongoing business challenges and opportunities.
  • Handle application support tickets for the JDA / BY solution
  • Develop and enhance JDA / BY Power User capabilities, through the design and delivery of targeted Webinars and Process / Day-in-the Life reviews.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in the implementation and configuration of the supply chain planning platforms in the context of a manufacturing environment – ideally using the JDA / BY platform, however candidates with suitable experience in other planning systems platforms (APO, Kinaxis, Logility, OMP, etc…) will be considered
    • Also candidates with strong Power User experience on Supply Chain Planning systems will be considered if they can show a strong interest in and aptitude for IT solution design
  • Experience of working on implementation projects and of working with third party systems integrators and business stakeholders.
  • Strong Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning, demand forecasting through supply replenishment.
  • Understanding of supply planning concepts – consumption, safety stock, production rates/constraints etc... (APICS certification an advantage).
  • Demonstrable complex problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of SQL language and writing technical specs in SQL Language would also be an advantage.
