The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the management of warehouse and distribution activity across the UK and EU as part of the logistics business unit. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the Warehousing and Distribution Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of 3PL performance, including tracking SLAs, KPIs and reporting
- Support the planning and management of UK export shipments, EU import shipments and intra-European movements
- Support the roll-out of supply chain projects – business and process change, efficiency improvements and improved ways of working across Glanbia and 3PL sites (inc. B2B, D2C, DSD)
- Support financial and procurement projects within the logistics team
- Support the financial elements of the logistics function including invoice and purchase order management, financial tracking and reporting and rolling out cost saving initiatives
- Manage the day-to-day logistics operations – being the go-to person for all things warehousing and distribution within the logistics team
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Background in Transport/supply chain/ logistics
- General all round Logistics experience
- Excellent communication skills – with an ability to adapt to audience where appropriate
- Organised with a strong attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills, with an ability to work with multiple spreadsheets
- Results-orientated problem solver
- Keen “improvement” / efficiency mind-set
- Ability to work well under pressure, be able to adapt to last minute changes to workload and ways of working
- Not afraid to challenge the status-quo
- Financial knowledge / exposure / background – desirable but not essential
