 The Opportunity

The Senior Brand Manager will play a critical role in shaping Glanbia’s brand strategy in Ireland, ensuring alignment with international and global priorities. This role is responsible for developing and executing insight-led marketing strategies, translating consumer and shopper understanding into impactful campaigns that drive brand equity and commercial growth. 

You will lead the creation of innovative, multi-channel and social-first campaigns, manage media and agency partnerships, and act as the champion for consumer insight across the business. Working across local, international, and global teams, the role requires strong stakeholder management to ensure effective alignment and flawless execution. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, insight-driven campaigns that deepen brand storytelling and generate measurable results

Primary responsibilities for this role will include: 

1. Marketing Strategy Development and Execution

  • Define and execute brand strategies rooted in consumer and shopper insights, aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Translate insights into actionable marketing plans across social, digital, and traditional channels.

2. Campaign Creative Development

  • Oversee the creation of innovative, insight-led campaigns that strengthen emotional connection and commercial impact.
  • Lead the development of platform-appropriate, social-first content in partnership with creative and social agencies.
  • Maintain consistency in brand storytelling while tailoring content for local market needs.

3. Consumer & Market Insight Leadership

  • Champion the role of consumer and shopper insights in guiding brand decisions.
  • Analyse research, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Embed insights into strategies and communications as the internal advocate for the consumer.

4. Agency & Partner Management

  • Lead relationships with creative, media, social, and research agencies, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Drive the agency briefing process, setting clear KPIs and accountability for performance.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

5. Media Strategy & Performance

  • Oversee the development of integrated media strategies across digital, social, and traditional channels.
  • Partner with agencies to optimise paid social performance, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across platforms.
  • Monitor overall media performance and report ROI to key stakeholders.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with sales, trade marketing, and product teams to ensure strategies are aligned and commercially effective.
  • Adapt and localize global brand strategies for regional markets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring full alignment with brand objectives.

7. Stakeholder Management & Alignment

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Connect local, global, and international marketing teams to ensure consistent strategy and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, finance) to secure buy-in and deliver integrated outcomes.

 

The skills you will bring to the team

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7+ years' experience in brand management, marketing, or consumer insights, ideally within FMCG.
  • Proven track record delivering integrated marketing campaigns and driving brand performance.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, social trends, and best-practice content development.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience applying consumer and shopper insights to strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience managing agencies and media planning processes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong project management capability; able to manage multiple workstreams at pace.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, commercial environment.
