Pouching Assistant Team Lead

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with leadership in the manufacturing floor on a daily basis ensuring Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP, Safety and Quality processes are always followed.   

Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

• Responsible for leading and motivating all the shift employees within the team.
• Assists Production Supervisor with hands-on training of all manufacturing personnel.
• In charge of the operation of the pouching machine.
• Monitors tools and cleaning supplies to ensure production employees have what they need to perform their jobs.
• Monitors personal protective equipment use, ensuring all employees are working safe and following all safety rules.
• Monitors proper use of moving equipment while product is in transit including Fork Lifts and pallet jacks.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Required:

• At least two years of manufacturing experience working as part of a team in a Manufacturing environment or assisting in a Lead type role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Working knowledge and ability to operate all blenders and equipment to include packaging, milling and cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends with very short notice.
• Will be required to become a technical matter expert for all manufacturing processes, safety and quality in order to train employees and make observations/corrections as needed.

Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

• Clear command of the English language both verbal and in writing.
• Basic computer skills including e-mail Excel and Word.

Typical environmental conditions

• May be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e. production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
• May be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
• May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
• May be exposed to ingredients that may cause allergic reactions and may be exposed to various allergen ingredients.
