Role Profile

We have entered the US grocery retail market with a new range of dairy products under the Truly Grass Fed natural brand from Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Regional Development Manager for the Northeast to join our US based "start-up" team on the ground at a very exciting juncture in Tirlán's international growth journey. Reporting to the Vice President, you will work closely with the US and Ireland teams to contribute to our growth strategy in North America.

The role will be key in assisting Tirlán to expand its consumer portfolio in the US market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a start-up brand platform with the support of an established global business. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with distributors, brokers, and retailers to build Tirlán’s new Dairy brand into the Northeast
  • Design & implement strategies across retail channels to grow distribution
  • Customize & evolve trade pitch leveraging IRI/SPINS/Nielsen data
  • Review and analyse data to maximize sales in current accounts
  • Liaise with Marketing to deliver and optimize retailer-focused activities 
  • Work with the distributors/brokers to develop an annual plan/budget by customer/SKU
  • Act as a key liaison between Tirlán and its priority customers
  • Accurately forecast demand for the region
  • Prepare and deliver distributor/brokers' business reviews quarterly
  • Work closely with the Chicago-based team to inform and advise on developing strategy for the region and ad hoc projects
  • Represent Tirlán at annual tradeshows, including occasionally at weekends



Key Requirements

  • Minimum third-level qualification in business or marketing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial role in the CPG industry
  • Strong awareness of specialty/natural, conventional, and club retail channels
  • Strong working knowledge of UNFI, KeHE, regional distributors, and wholesalers
  • Start-up attitude and ability to think both strategically and "outside the box"
  • A proven ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers
  • Ability to create reports and metrics to track results and prepare and deliver executive presentations
  • Ability and confidence to interact with senior management across various functions and organizations
  • Results-oriented and KPI-driven
  • Position based in the Northeast and requires up to 60% travel
