The Opportunity
Optimum Nutrition, the world’s No.1 sports nutrition brand, is seeking a hands-on, results-driven and creative Assistant Brand Manager to support our trade marketing, social media, and e-commerce initiatives across Belgium and the Netherlands.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Brand Manager to execute campaigns that strengthen brand visibility in-store and online, ensuring seamless alignment between marketing and sales. You’ll help deliver impactful retail activations, support social media execution, manage influencer collaborations, and coordinate e-commerce activities with key partners.

Responsibilities
Marketing & Social Media
- Assist in developing localized content for digital, social, and retail channels.
- Support day-to-day social media execution and community engagement.
- Work with agencies to deliver creative assets and collaborate with influencers to produce on-brand UGC.
- Monitor and report on social media performance.
E- com & Channel Marketing
- Lead the website launch from a Marketing perspective, aligning closely with Sales and the DTC team to ensure full integration with our campaigns and drive stronger online conversion.
- Coordinate banners, and product launches across key retail, e-com partners and our own website.
- Support sales teams with trade marketing tools and assets to all ecom distributors, that are aligned with our brand campaigns
Retail Trade & Brand Activation
- Support execution of trade and brand strategies across Belgium and the Netherlands, aligned with global guidelines.
- Deliver in-store visibility plans and shopper activations tailored to each key retailer.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Events & Partnerships
- Support planning and execution of events, retail activations, and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with retailers and partners to maximize brand exposure.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in brand, trade, or marketing roles, ideally in FMCG or sports nutrition.
- Experience in the Dutch market required; Belgian market experience is a plus.
- Proficient in social media, CRM, and analytics tools.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Analytical Skills with the ability to analyse data and campaign results to drive decisions.
- Use consumer insights to refine marketing strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Fluent in Dutch (required); French and English (strong advantage).
- Organized, proactive, and collaborative with strong multitasking skills.
- Passionate about sports, health, and performance nutrition.
