The Opportunity  

We are looking for a Talent and Partnerships manager who can create and lead the rollout and execution of the Talent and Partnerships strategy for Glanbia Performance Nutrition. Driving brand fame and impact through our varied portfolio of world class talent and partner organizations, which includes the global Sports Nutrition partner to the McLaren F1 racing team, and athletes such as Olympians Kyle Chalmers and Brooke Stratton. With a primary focus on Optimum Nutrition, the world’s number 1 sports nutrition brand, this is a key role within the Oceania marketing team helping shape the direction of a leading brand in one of the most exciting and dynamic categories. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Shape the Foundations of the Partnership Strategy 
    •  Map and monitor the Partnership landscape to identify prospective partners in the short (+1 Yr.) and longer term (3 Yr.), establishing a clear partnership pipeline. This includes local and global partnerships. Global partnerships currently include McLaren F1 racing team and Spartan. 
    • Work collaboratively with the Senior Brand Manager to establish partnerships as a more central focal point in strategic thinking and lead local market partnerships from negotiations to activation where applicable.

 

  • Establish Athlete and Talent Management Best Practice 
    • Shape, rollout and scale the Athlete Strategy that sets the standard of best practice on recruitment, on-boarding and deliverables for all talent. 
    • Create a clear set of deliverables for each athlete that work in synergy with the wider brand strategy, to deliver a plan that stretches across both social & media channels.
    • Full management of sports agencies, agents and contract negotiations end to end to drive credibility of brands in key sports.
    • Establish and report on key marketing ROI metrics for Oceania’s Athlete roster to establish effectiveness of programmes. Examples include;
      • Post Impression #’s
      • Engagement (Shares, Likes, Comments etc.)
      • Sale generated / Retail Traffic (in collaboration with Key customers)

 

  • Execute Partnership and Collaborations with Excellence 
    • Build a clear set of deliverables (with connection back to over-arching brand strategy) for all formalized partnerships
    • Use a ROI mindset and create processes to report and track partnership deliverables and impact
    • Work collaboratively with the broader marketing team and agency eco-system to bring agreed deliverables, projects/challenges & content to fruition

 

  • Network and Unlock Earned Media, Expanded Reach and PR
    • Seek to unlock earned media/PR around large-scale partnerships and athletes through ideas that drive brand fame 
    • Provide news worthy updates around partnerships and collaboration to Glanbia internal communication teams 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

  • Marketing or Business Tertiary Qualification 
  • Be an outstanding and highly skilled/experienced sports athlete practitioner with 4yrs minimum experience covering all aspects of athlete and partnership management 
  • Proven experience in talent management in large organizations.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Passion for fitness and nutrition essential & an understanding of the dedicated sports lifestyle and a strong passion for building nutritional products that support this sector

The opportunity will be based in our Melbourne office at Mount Waverly with hybrid working arrangements (3 days in office) available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.
