The Opportunity 

This role is for Senior Financial Analyst on the A&C team for MWC North America.  This role will be core to supporting the integrity of the GN financial processes and financial information for GNMH (MWC (Michigan), LLC).  This will include taking a leading role in the management of the month-end close cycle.  Emphasis is on providing timely, relevant and accurate information in a dynamic environment, where accurate information is a key competitive advantage and essential in supporting operational and strategic decision-making.  The role will also be responsible for the GNMH Balance Sheet, ensuring all Balance Sheet accounts are fully reconciled and the control environment is appropriate and robust to support the financial records. This will include liaising with central A&C, Commercial, Operations and Group Finance teams and both internal and external auditors. This permanent position will report to the Financial Controller.

• Key player in the day to day running of the accounting and control function in Saint Johns, MI
• Key player in developing the A&C team in Saint Johns, MI and incorporating optimization efforts in the team
• Lead financial accountant for GNMH Company code
• Support the month end close process for GNMH Company code with associated reporting and controls
• Play a lead role in coordinating the SAP close process ensuring group deadlines are met
• Support the Finance Controller in consolidation of monthly actual results and feed into the monthly reporting process led by the GN consolidation team
• Support the MWC finance team as the integration progresses
• Play a leading role in ensuring that the required accounting control procedures are in place and are effective.  This includes the control and reconciliation of the GNMH Balance Sheet in line with the Balance Sheet responsibility matrix
• Support the Internal and external audits and effort in ensuring compliance with Glanbia accounting policies, including internal controls
• Liaise with Group Finance functions to ensure compliance and alignment with Group policies and expectations around risk management
• Support the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow financial planning process and associated reporting requirements
• Support financial process and systems improvement activity ensuring all GN and MWC financial planning and reporting process are optimized and aligned with overall GN reporting structures
• Cross-train with Group Finance, SAP/FICO teams, other analysts and feed learnings back to the GNMH team
• Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• SAP knowledge preferred
• Excellent skills in Microsoft packages

The Skills you will bring to the team 

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years related experience.  Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiply projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
