The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller DTC (direct to consumer) to join our growing team in Amsterdam

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

Accounting & Control:

• Lead the accounting and financial reporting of Body & Fit, ensuring accuracy of financial ledgers and accounting processes, including responsibility for balance sheet integrity.
• Ensuring financial control is being operated to the highest standards in the business units.
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting, audit, tax and legal requirements across the countries in the region.
• Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&Ls, Balance Sheet and cashflow for Group consolidation.
• Cash management and treasury duties, liaising and engaging with Group Treasury function.
• Leveraging process improvements from the rest of GPN and apply best practise standards within the DTC business unit.
• Leading and developing the junior members of the central control team in their tasks as they support the B&F control function.

Projects:

• Continually developing the financial reporting of the business to ensure that it is providing relevant and insightful information that drives decision making.
• Managing projects which require cross-functional and group participation in project teams.
• Assist in any ad-hoc projects required to support business growth in D2C as well as for process improvements. 

Business Partnering

• Work proactively with the business teams to improve processes and controls.
• Work closely with the operations and supply to improve month-end processes and information flows around warehouse and stock and new route to markets around the D2C growth strategy.
• Provide support to the wider finance teams on key analysis around accounting, processes, controls.

The skills you will bring to our team!

Experience 

• Proven experience operating at a Financial Controller level, preferably in a Dutch GAAP environment.
• Degree educated or equivalent
• Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• At least 5 years post qualification experience.
• In depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles as well as technical accounting skills.
• SAP experience and proven track record in automating data and best use of systems.

 Personal Qualities 

• Passionate about the Sports Nutrition market and wanting to be part of developing the DTC business into new markets, products, and services.
• Curious, eager to learn, as well as share ideas and challenge status quo.
• A strong, self-confident team player with a collaborative and facilitative style.
• A self-starter, who can work well within a team and across geographical boundaries.
• Excellent written and verbal communicator.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, good judgement making and logical decision maker.

Where and how you will work  

The opportunity will be based in our offices in Amsterdam, Holland with a requirement to work from the office 3 days per week.
