The Customer Team Analytics Manager is a high-impact, manager level position responsible for providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to optimize Walmart & Sam’s Club’s business performance.
This role involves analyzing sales data, consumer trends, and category performance while working closely with the GPN Sales, Supply Chain, Category Management and Walmart Inc. merchandising teams.
What you will do:
- Analyze Walmart/Sam’s Club specific sales, category, and shopper insights and identify opportunities to grow GPN’s Performance and Lifestyle portfolio, uncover trends, and risks
- Lead and orchestrate best-in-class utilization of Walmart/Sam’s data systems (Scintilla, Retail Link, Madrid) and syndicated market data tools (Nielsen) via developing customer analytics and insights strategy
- Proficient in operating in and applying insights in all major retailer POS (point of sale) and market data, to include pricing, supply/replenishment, digital originated sales, equivalized volume, and market share
- Upskill and partner with Sales Team and Category Management on insights and analytics across retailer POS (Scintilla/Madrid) being the expert on latest retailer data capability and in-touch with market/competition
- Monitor competitive brands and products, as well as market share, to understand shopper trends.
- Lead root cause analyses with critical thinking and sense of urgency on hot business challenges/questions
- Measure the ROI of trade promotions and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and maximize impact
Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 or more years of experience with Walmart and/or Sam’s Club Customer teams
- Scintilla/Item 360 Proficiency
- Reporting (Scintilla, Panel Data, Nielsen, Dashboards, etc.)
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
