The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in fostering a zero-loss work culture. This role ensures the safety, quality, and efficiency of our plant operations. You will collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure all plant projects meet Glanbia standards and are executed effectively. This permanent position will report to the Plant Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure compliance with GRMS, OSHA, LOTO, USDA, and EPA standards.
- Lead the Progressive Maintenance Pillar, aiming for zero breakdowns and reduced maintenance costs.
- Oversee the performance and development of the Maintenance Team Leader and Technicians.
- Manage the department budget and ensure projects stay within budget.
- Implement an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
- Develop and manage capital expenditure requirements and plant-level projects.
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with Glanbia standards.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and maintain equipment history.
- Manage the SAP Work Order System and coordinate with vendors for new equipment installations.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and address training needs within the maintenance team.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, or a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong analytical, technical, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with managers, clients, and the public.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to safety and proactive team efforts.
