The Opportunity 

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is seeking an experienced accountant/dynamic individual to join the Finance team at the Global headquarters in Downers Grove. It is highly preferred that this individual have Big Four public accounting experience, be able to contribute broadly across a very collaborative accounting function and have the desire and leadership abilities to take on greater responsibilities over time. This role is ideally suited for someone looking to take a new step in an accounting career and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. There will be opportunities to learn our business inside and out, work directly with other functions within the organization and, of course, for career advancement as the company continues to rapidly grow. This permanent position will report to the Assistant Controller.

• Key member of month end close including account analyses, reconciliations, reporting to the group finance team, and consolidation tasks
• Financially own and take responsibility for several GL account categories
• Contribute to key metrics reporting and analysis for finance/accounting function
• Ongoing projects, including cross function, as needed
• Support yearly internal and external audit
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and controls.
• Contributes ideas related to and the implementation of process improvements
• Other accounting duties based on experience and business growth
• Opportunity to work with international accounting and finance teams.

The Skills you will bring to the team 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university or college
• 3-6 years of progressive accounting or audit experience (public/corporate)
• CPA license (preferred)

• Big 4 experience highly preferred

• Advanced skills in Excel
• Highly organized self-starter
• Honest and open communication
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to hit deadlines
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
