At Glanbia Nutritionals, our portfolio centers around dairy and non-dairy nutritional ingredients. We co-innovate and deliver ingredient solutions and precision premixes for use in the mainstream food and beverage, infant and clinical, and functional nutrition markets.  We are the number one provider of whey-based nutritional ingredients globally and the number one producer of American-style cheddar cheese. Our protein systems have transformed the bar and beverage categories — bringing increased levels of protein, cleaner labels and greater product functionality to market. We have a direct presence in 21 countries, with manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China, and international sales and technical offices around the world.

The job duties include picking up raw frozen colostrum from our dairy farmers and safely delivering them to the local distribution center.  Also responsible for representing Glanbia in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase customer satisfaction.

• Communicate with the procurement supervisor, co-workers, and dairy farms daily.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from local dairies and distribution centers as scheduled
• Ensure contents are properly secured in the truck and/or flatbed to prevent damage/injury
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
• Report defects, accidents, or violations
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods)
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
• Track and report working hours
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
• Make safety a priority at all times

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of proven experience in truck driving preferred
• Valid driving license with a clean driving record and no moving violations.
• Must be a self-starter; must be able to work without direct supervision

•    Agriculture background preferred
•    Familiarity with HACCP preferred
•    Basic computer skills
•    Must be a team player at all times while providing exceptional customer service
•    Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
•    Skilled at driving vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
•    Effective verbal communication and public relations skills are required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Involves moderate physical activity, performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.
• Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, and judge distances and spatial relationships.
• Must be able to climb ladders up to 20’ off the ground.

• May work in hot/cold and wet environments
