 The Opportunity

This role is responsible for the development and management of future growth pillars across Specialty & Key accounts channels (in industry parlance – GT and MT). The incumbent is expected to formulate comprehensive growth strategies leveraging market insights and consumer trends. The role demands strong understanding of sports nutrition category landscape, customer profitability, distributor management and commercial analytics. 

  • Lead the strategy & execution of new channels for offline business of Glanbia India.
  • Identify new market opportunities and evaluate end-to-end landscape for entry.
  • Develop tailored market strategies to foray into the new channels and capture market share.
  • Continuously look for potential business development opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Design value chain for the new opportunities, partner closely with the finance team.
  • Work with the marketing team for demand generation activities as demanded by the new channel.
  • Influence distributor partners to be motivated enough to carry out the new channel projects.
  • Prepare channel learnings during incubation period and present to the business.
  • Keep abreast of competitive activities and devise pre-emptive programs to counter competitive moves.
  • Prepare monthly reports to recap results and activities in the category.

The skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in Sales and Business Development in FMCG industry, preferably within Consumer Health
  • A strategic business professional with a track record of profitably growing sales in FMCG industry.
  • Experience in handling both GT and MT business, knowledge of pharmacy channel mandatory.
  • Self-starter with the capability of working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a hypothesis driven approach.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, recommend and take strategic and creative actions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong in influencing skills, both from an internal and external perspective.
  • Desire to clearly understand the Sports Nutrition industry and marketplace trends.

 

Where and how you will work  

The opportunity will be based in our office based in Gurgaon, India with a requirement to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
