This is a contract position will report to the Commercial Director.

The Discounter and High Street Controller will be responsible for driving growth and managing key retail accounts within the discount and high street channels across the UK. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven individual who can foster strong relationships, create strategic growth plans, and deliver on sales targets while upholding the brand's values and standards. This role will sit on the UK Sales Leadership team.

Working with Optimum Nutrition the worlds number 1 Sport Nutrition brand and SlimFast the UK’s leading weight management brand you will be joining a business that is committed to bringing high-quality, innovative products to help customers achieve their health and fitness goals.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales and revenue growth - Drive revenue growth across the channel, unlocking deeper distribution in existing customers and unlocking new distribution opportunities. Focus on driving profitable growth for the business by exciting channels specific strategies. Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth in new and existing accounts.
  • Lead and develop the UK Discount Strategy - Responsible for leading the overall strategy for the UK Discount channel, including distribution, PPA and RTM in order to drive long term sustainable for growth for Glanbia as a whole
  • Cross Function Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, category management) to align strategies and ensure seamless execution across accounts
  • Team Leadership & Development- Lead a team of account managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure continue development of the commercial function, acting as a role model within the wider sales team, fostering a high- performance culture
  • UK Sales Team Leadership- Play a pivotal role within the UK Sales LT, creatine a culture to be proud of within the UK commercial team whilst also playing a key role in the overall UK sales strategy
  • Customer Engagement - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, becoming their key point of contact for GPN.

 

  

The Skills you will bring to the team

 

  • Proven track record of managing multiple accounts with experience in High street and discount preferrable, demonstrating success in driving revenue or profit growth targets.
  • Experience or exposure to multi-functional teams, (RGM, Cat Dev, Shopper, Marketing).
  • Leadership: able to inspire the multifunctional team (sales, marketing, supply) behind the external opportunity, and then engage, energize and enable the team to execute the plan.
  • Strong relationship builder: able to deliver with and through other experts and collaborate multifunctionally.
  • Adaptable: able to manage ambiguity and lead in a constantly changing environment
