Production Supervisor – Night Shift

The Opportunity 

 

This role oversees daily production operations, coaches and develops hourly employees, identifies and implements process optimization projects in addition to providing the leadership that ensures all employees on shift can improve and sustain a zero-loss work culture that drives out injuries and ensures products are safe and meet quality specifications. The role will manage all aspects of the shift plant operations ensuring safety, quality, budget, KPI’s are met by engaging all employees. 

 

This full time position will report to the Plant Manager and duties will include but are not limited to the following:   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of shift plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and budget goals are met.
  • Engage and motivate employees to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to drive zero losses and uphold our non-negotiable standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and USDA standards.
  • Maintain product quality and food safety through robust quality systems (HAACP, SQF, SOP, GMPs).
  • Schedule and coordinate shifts and employee work schedules.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Provide performance coaching and development for hourly employees.
  • Conduct employee meetings, supervise the production workforce, and assist in resolving employment issues.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in a hard science preferred but not required; minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proactive team player with a commitment to achieving departmental and company goals.
  • Leadership skills demonstrated through example and knowledge sharing.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and interpret reports, correspondence, and procedural documents.
  • Compliance with all safety policies and practices, reporting unsafe activities to supervisors or HR.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including email, database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Where and how you will work  

The opportunity will be based in Phoenix, AZ and is fully onsite.  Shifts are 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with a rotating schedule of days off.  Your recruiter will have more details.
