As part of our exciting journey, we are seeking a Senior Accountant, Asia, to join our dynamic team.

   

The Opportunity Where You Will Make An Impact

 

Reporting to the Finance Director - Asia, the primary focus of the role is to maintain the integrity of the Financial Accounting activity of the Glanbia legal entities in the Region and related representative offices by ensuring timely, accurate and consistent management of financial transactions.

  • Performs and manages the day to day financial and administration activities of the business including:
    • Accounts Payable – (New Vendor registration, Invoices accounting and Payments)
    • Accounts Receivable (Intercompany recharges and from customers as and when we enable Sales & Distribution model)
    • Cash flow management (expense forecasting, E-banking and liaising with bank)
    • Credit card and/or P-card management, including liaising with bank and internal stakeholders
    • Maintaining and reviewing all original documentation records
    • Ensuring tax, regulatory and compliance filings are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensures completion of monthly management and financial accounts on time and accurately in adherence of generally accepted accounting principles and compliance with group accounting policies.
  • Provides financial information in a clear and concise format that management can use to make sound business decisions
  • Responsible for performing reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Bank Reconciliation Statements
  • Liaise with both external and internal providers to assist with the calculation and filing of returns for all Direct and indirect taxes along with compliance deliverables­
  • Provides direct support along with all the relevant documents, reports and information for successful completion of Annual Audits of the company
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager

  

What You Will Bring To GPN

 

  • Strong PC skills including MS Office; particularly Excel
  • Hands on operator who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done working independently with little supervision
  • Strong problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Sound accounting, reporting and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Fast and accurate alpha-numeric keyboard skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a strong team player and demonstrate dedication to company goals
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
  • Self-motivated with initiative and performance driven
  • Excellent analytical skills; able to identify and solve complex analytical problems and draw conclusions through analysis of data
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 3 years post degree experience working towards CA/CPA qualifications
  • A working knowledge of SAP and BCS preferred
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholders and a passion for process improvement
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)
