The Opportunity 

 

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team. In this role, you will organize, schedule, and assign work on utilities equipment and the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). You will collaborate closely with production management and the maintenance team to ensure our facility meets required standards. Additionally, you will coach and develop Utilities Technicians and lead process optimization projects with a focus on safety and environmental sustainability. This permanent position will report to the Maintenance Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

  • Maintain and oversee the plant’s utilities equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with PSM and NPDES requirements.
  • Communicate Utility plant KPIs to leadership.
  • Manage and expand preventative maintenance programs.
  • Supervise and direct Utilities, Environmental Engineer, and WWTP crews.
  • Coordinate facility and utility outages and upgrades.
  • Develop solutions to plant-related issues and conduct audits for SOP adherence.
  • Provide performance coaching to Utilities Technicians.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Associate’s Degree in maintenance or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and delegate effectively.
  • Proficient in computer skills including email, record keeping, and various software applications.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours plant outages and emergencies.
