<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">An opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner at Glanbia Business Services Inc. based primarily in our office in Aurora, IL.  This is a permanent position and will report to the Head of HR for GBS, based in Ireland.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Role Summary:

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner and support for the GBS business in the US and will provide technical expertise and comprehensive and integrated HR support to the GBS Leaders.  They will manage all aspects of the HR function and will positively impact employee engagement, acting as a change consultant to support our company purpose, vision and in helping to embed our values and core behaviours.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Key Elements of the Role:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Support a population of approx. 100 IT and Shared Services employees across multiple facilities in the US
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Develop a thorough understanding of the IT and Shared Services business strategy, operations and culture. Anticipate emerging business needs and opportunities and work with leaders to identify HR business solutions that support their overall objectives.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Manage the end to end employee lifecycle from on boarding (employee orientations) to off-boarding (exit interviews) processes ensuring the employee experience is safeguarded.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers throughout recruitment life-cycle
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Champion employee engagement and make recommendations to foster a positive work environment.  Administer all relevant employee engagement programs (GBS ‘Thanks’ Program, Communication Framework, Leadership Charter etc.). 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Manage the assessment, development, and implementation of management and employee training needs and programs; may conduct actual training and facilitate groups/meetings when needed, i.e. teambuilding sessions, development planning programs, etc.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Lead the development and implementation of all HR policies and ensure consistent application of all policies, procedures and federal, state and local regulations.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Coach and provide guidance to line managers on issues relating to performance management, employee relations and policy interpretation. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Proactively manage all employee relations issues and conduct employee investigations and partner with the Glanbia legal team to recommend next steps/solutions as necessary, including creating and delivering progressive discipline documents.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Support business unit Leaders and Managers through the performance appraisal, compensation & benefits, talent calibration and succession planning processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Participate in Group-wide initiatives/projects acting as local HR representative to provide direction and input/information on user needs and best practices, identifying interdependencies which have a people impact, and influencing the decisions made.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Develop a HR dashboard that provides value-add data and trends to help inform future HR initiatives and strategies.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Lead the site engagement committee, incorporating local and international Glanbia wellness initiatives into the agenda.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Work as part of the broader GBS and Glanbia HR team to identify and implement business process improvements.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Other assigned duties as needed

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">3rd level degree in a related discipline

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Experienced HR practitioner working in a multinational organisation with HR business partnering responsibility for multiple functional areas/locations.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Strong business acumen and knowledge of US labour market conditions including reward and benefits market insight.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Previous experience supporting recruiting processes in a in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Knowledge of employment law and compliance standards for the US.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Proactive, self-directed, strategic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Excellent employee relations and interpersonal skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Confident team player – able to influence and persuade through strong presentation and communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Ability to provide leadership and work harmoniously with co-workers and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company values
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Strong PC skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Travel Requirements: 20% local, 10-15% regional and international
