The opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Infrastructure and Cloud Services System Engineer with Glanbia Business Services Inc.  This is a full time position based in our Aurora Office and will report to the Infrastructure and Cloud Services US Team Lead.

 

The Infrastructure and Cloud Services System Engineer is responsible for the on-going support of the Server compute/storage infrastructure and Cloud services in Glanbia Private/Cloud datacentres

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for support and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure hosted in Glanbia Private/Cloud datacentres including compute, storage, directory services, backup, SQL services and Disaster Recovery.
  • · System administration of key technology platforms including Exchange, Mimecast, Enterprise Vault, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Azure
  • · Server Management including OS support, backups and deployments, security patching and antivirus compliance
  • · Provide 3rd line IT infrastructure incident and problem management for core IT Infrastructure services
  • · Manage transition of infrastructure related change to production environment adhering to agreed change control process
  • · Drive continuous process and technology improvement around the delivery of enterprise infrastructure services
  • · Disaster Recovery simulation and testing
  • · Creation and updating of technical documentation and standard operating procedures

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • 3rd Level relevant technical qualification and relevant experience in delivering datacentre services to a global organisation
  • Microsoft MTA or MCSA
  • ITIL Certification desirable
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience supporting IT Infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience of proactive customer management
  • Ability to understand the wider business and the impacts of system failure
  • Experience of delivering Group wide projects in conjunction with the wider GBS and Business Unit IT teams.
  • Experience in delivery of datacentre infrastructure related projects
  • Experience of enterprise level system management tools
  • Ability to display a high degree of professionalism in dealing with managers and users.
  • Technically and commercially focused, high levels of enthusiasm and energy.
  • A team player who has the ability to motivate others, making it fun while getting the job done.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better.
