Job Summary

The Material Handler 2 (MH2) is responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, an MH2 also has a range of other manufacturing/warehouse duties such as packaging shipments, downtime cleaning activities, or checking inventories.

Essential Functions

• Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack and stage product and materials using a sit down or stand-up forklift, performing other material handling as required
• Accurately pull and prepare product for use in production or for shipment
• Responsible for filling out all documentation correctly and clearly
• Inspect all materials during picking, shipping and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and material is free of damage, reporting any discrepancies
• Keep accurate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security is maintained. Assist in physical inventories
• Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially customer service, transportation, and maintenance
• Inspect any assigned equipment on a daily basis.
• Assist in maintaining/promoting our Safety Culture
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

High School Diploma GED preferred

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required
• Oral and written communication skills are essential
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities
