QA Chemist Raw Material Coordinator I

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for daily logging of incoming raw materials into the data based system.
  • Responsible for FTIR analysis of all raw materials.
  • Responsible for collecting, documenting, recording, reviewing and transferring test results from the third party lab to the Raw Materials Testing Sheet Protocol. 
  • Responsible for creating and collecting reference standards from validated and approved raw materials.                                                                                                                      
  • Participate in raw material testing using FTIR, Vacuum Oven for LOD,  Karl Fisher for Moisture and Wet Chemistry.
  • Participate in routine FTIR calibration and the following System Suitability.
  • Preparation of raw materials to third party labs and in-house testing.
  • Daily communication with upper management and other departments regarding the raw materials.
  • Ensuring the safe storage of raw materials and chemicals.
  • Overseeing the collection and disposal of waste materials according to QA SOP regulation.
  • Recommending and performing general cleaning in the QA laboratories.
  • Participates in and contributes to a safe environment in the QA laboratories by:
  • Keeping current with safety regulations mandated by occupational safety and Health Administration
  • Checking and maintaining safety equipment.
  • Being responsible for the evacuation of the QA laboratories during emergencies.
  • Maintaining the current MSDS inventory in the QA laboratories.
  • Participates in and contributes to the achievement and continued success of QA laboratories.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate accuracy, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Work as a team member in meeting laboratory and departmental goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge of chemistry laboratory materials
  • Demonstrate knowledge of chemical safety materials



  • B.S. in Chemistry or Biology.
  • 1-3 Years Analytical Experience


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (The work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor’s Dictionary of Occupational Titles.)
