The Opportunity 

The Senior Analyst Logistics, under the general direction of the Director of Logistics, will be responsible for analyzing and auditing logistic invoices for freight and filing/managing freight claims for shortages and damages. The position will monitor, analyze and report specific transportation KPIs in addition to maintaining vendor documentation including reconciliation of activities affecting invoices and discrepancies identified. This is a permenant position and will report to the Director of Transportation.

• Analyze Shuttle, Small Parcel, LTL and FTL/IMDL freight invoices and verify vendors are applying correct rates for line haul, fuel and accessorial charges.. Works with director on final approval of completed invoices.
• Ensures vendors are following agreed processes, identify issues and make recommendations for improvements.
• Works with Customer Service and Product Supply representatives s in  preparing freight claims for shortages and all types of damage.
• Responsible for logging and tracking all freight claims on a monthly basis.
• Assists in tracking KPIs and running   monthly reports.
• Creates/Runs ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Provide    estimated  freight estimates s  for requests from Procurement, Contract Manufacturing Finance and Customer Service.
• Assists the Director of Logistics and 3PL Planners with shipment resolution and/or delivery problems.  
• Run mid-month freight cost projections for Finance based on MTD cwt. cost performance.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining updated procedural documents to support Product Supply with proper transportation related best practices for freight claims, loading shipping guidelines for warehouses and 3PLs, CPU guidelines etc.
• Issue monthly reports for FTL and Intermodal actual lane cost vs. DATiQ published rates and contracted SRG rates,
• Track historical freight cost and collect market data to assist in developing Transportation Freight Budget and periodic reforecasting throughout the year.
• Generate Carrier Performance KPI reports for Carrier Performance meetings held with strategic transportation partners.

  The Skills you will bring to the team
 

• Associate degree or 2 year minimum: Associate or Bachelor‘s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline.
• 3 years minimum of previous transportation/logistics experience
• Experience working in warehousing and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with using SAP
• Ability to create reports , formulas, and pivot tables in MS Excel
