We have an exciting opportunity for a BDM to join our Commercial Team within Glanbia Ireland. The Business Development Manager reports to the Senior Business Development Manager and will also work closely with the Product Management & Category team. The primary purpose of the role is to develop new and exciting value adding opportunities for Glanbia Ireland by fostering exceptional and trusting relationships with existing and yet to be discovered customers.

You will be commercially fluent, interested in science, have an aptitude for all things technical and be entrepreneurial in spirit. All things new excite you and you in turn will excite our customers and our own business stakeholders. Success in this role is contagious!

The role is export market facing and location can be discussed.

 

Key Responsibilities;

  • To become an indispensable contact to an international portfolio of customers and prospects and to be their voice in our business as well as being a cultural ambassador for the portfolio.
  • To discover, develop and support the commercialisation of innovative opportunities that create value for sharing between our customers and the Glanbia business.
  • Develop value adding propositions with compelling technical and financial evidence of the value creation to be delivered. Manage your sales book.
  • To use market insights to authenticate and improve our product roadmap strategies for each sector that you convince us to serve.
  • To support and inform the strategy design and execution by galvanising our internal resources to support our market stakeholders need. You will do this by building trust through action for our existing and target customers and other market stakeholders.
  • To support and heavily influence the on-going transformation of the regional business to become a bona fide solutions provider.
  • To develop a position of trust with Glanbia’s core route to market partners (& prospective partners) in the region.
  • Contribute towards the collation of market intelligence and the competitive landscape on a weekly basis.
  • Project management/participation in Glanbia and customer projects and strategic project programmes as defined by the business
  • Excellent relationship builder.
  • Technically fluent in the relevant Glanbia and competitive landscape offerings.
  • Proficient in creating & delivering on evidence based value adding proposals.
  • Be capable of seeing, understanding and adapting to the bigger picture.

    • Other individual KPI’s as agreed to be necessary from time to time for the benefit and health of OUR business.

  • Prior experience within a similar role either in a technical and or commercial capacity is preferred and speaking other languages fluently is welcomed.
