Digital Account Executive (1 Year Fixed Term Contract) 


Job Purpose 


An opportunity has arisen for a Digital Account Executive to work with Glanbia’s network of ‘doorstep’ agents - to champion the usage of the system with the agents, train and support them as they migrate on to the e-commerce platform.


Glanbia’s direct-to-consumer ‘doorstep’ channel plays a key role in the business’s future growth agenda.   To date, over 50% of all doorstep agents have already migrated onto the system - with a very positive user experience to date.   The system has been instrumental in Glanbia winning a variety of industry awards – including ‘E-Commerce business of the year’ at the Irish Marketing Institute’s Awards 2018.


As more agents plan to move onto the MyMilkman system in the years ahead – there is need to provide additional services to support this transition.


Based in Glanbia, Citywest, Dublin, the Digital Account Executive will work closely with the Digital Account Manager and Doorstep Team, the wider field sales team, as well as a range of other internal and external stakeholders to provide a wider service to the agents.


This is a hands-on, busy role, which will involve Migrating Agents on to the MyMilkman system from initial account set up to weekly training and support. Also, directly supporting existing agents, providing training and technical assistance as and when required. 


The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent people skills, and with a strong ability to work on their own initiative.  They will have strong computer literacy skills, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. 


Main Duties/Responsibilites 


  • Training Agents on the platform.
  • Selling and championing the e-commerce platform to the wider agent community.
  • Admin support to the Digital Account Manager to set up new agents on the platform.
  • Liaising with the sales development managers to co-ordinate activity and training.
  • Work with existing agents on growing their online customer base and new customer acquisition.
  • Work with agents to ensure they are getting the best from the system
  • Weekly reporting to Digital Account Manager


Role Requirements 


1. Qualifications 

  • Leaving certificate 
  •  Business qualification 
  •  Computer skills qualification – ECDL or similar 
  • Full Drivers Licence 

2. Competencies to carry out the role

  •     Strong computer/ technical skills including Excel and Powerpoint.  
  •     Commercial acumen and numerical literacy.

  •     Must be able and willing to travel to meet agents/SDM’s when required

3. Experience  

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in customer service or similar role - in either B2C or B2B capacity.   
  • Some experience working with digital platforms / software packages preferable.    
  •  Commercial experience in a sales environment preferred
