Marketing Manager (Maternity Leave Cover) 

Job Purpose 

 

An opportunity has arisen in Glanbia Ireland for a Marketing Manager with strong ecommerce and marketing skills, to work on the Direct To Consumer channel within the consumer category.

 

Glanbia’s direct-to-consumer ‘doorstep’ channel plays a key role in the business’s future growth agenda.   This role will lead the ecommerce and digital marketing capability within the doorstep channel and is a really exciting opportunity to join a team during a period of significant business transformation.

 

Mymilkman.ie is an award winning website, having won ‘Best Website’ at the 2019 Digital Media Awards, and the ‘Ecommerce Award’ at the All Ireland Marketing awards 2018.

 

This role is based in the Glanbia Ireland office in Citywest, Dublin and manages two direct reports; an Assistant Brand Manager & Customer Service Exec. The Marketing Manager will also work closely with the food & beverages brand team, customer acquisition team, Digital Account Managers, the wider field sales team, as well as a range of other internal and external stakeholders.

 

This position is responsible for both B2B and B2C marketing initiatives across the Doorstep Channel – including working closely with the ‘milkman’ agent stakeholders.

 

We are seeking a high performing, innovative, results orientated customer obsessed individual who has a strong commercial focus.

 

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication and people management skills - with an ability to set their own agenda, and bring key stakeholders on-board with their plans. They will have strong computer literacy skills, and demonstrate good attention to detail. 

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities 

 

  • Responsibility for the management of mymilkman.ie consumer website – including optimising content, managing the consumer journey, and overseeing key design and development  projects,
  • Work with agencies to devise and implement integrated ATL / BTL consumer focused marketing programmes to build brand awareness, and drive traffic for Sales / Conversion.
  • Plan and deliver a CRM strategy to encourage customer retention and customer loyalty as well as drive sales via cross sell and upselling.
  • Work with the sales and digital account teams to devise and implement a B2B Programme -  to include marketing materials and other tools.
  • Collaborate with Food / Bev Brand team to identify opportunities to grow sales through D2C Channel – across NPD, promotions, and other brand initiatives.
  • Work closely with agencies and the Glanbia IT team to develop and launch new tech. development for mymilkman.ie
  • Use research and analytics to drive insight, actions and measurable improvements across activities. Explore new development opportunities using testing.
  • Work with PR agencies on a national and localised basis to leverage the mymilkman.ie story.

 

Role Requirements 

1. Qualifications 

  • Relevant 3rd level education in a related discipline

 

2. Competencies to carry out the role 

  • Excellent knowledge of e-commerce platforms, with a good understanding of ROI, CPA and CTR targets.
  • Strong marketing skills – with a proven ability to plan and execute across ATL, BTL, digital, social and PR.
  • Ability to influence, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Good Reporting and communication skills – with an ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and features
  • Good project management skills.
  • Omni - channel Media Planning
  • Good understanding of building brands.

 

3. Experience 

 

  • Critical to the role is prior experience in an ecommerce position, with results driven evidence
  •  A minimum of 4 -5 years’ experience managing an ecommerce website - in either B2C or B2B capacity.   
  • Proven track record managing digital campaigns such as PPC, Display, Social, Email Marketing, SEO, Website performance.
  • Demonstrate strong agency management experience.
  • Experience in a FMCG Brand Marketing role managing and developing brands an advantage.
  • Experience of working with Customer Marketing, Commercialisation& Field Sales.
  • Acquisition / Loyalty / Retention marketing campaign experience an advantage

 

4. Possess the following characteristics
