An opportunity currently exists in Glanbia plc for an experienced Reward Specialist, International based in our offices in Ireland (Dublin Or Kilkenny)  This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the Senior Manager Reward International

The base location of the role will be in Ireland in either of our office locations in Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin 24 with hybrid working arrangements available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.


Role Summary 

The Reward Specialist International will support the Reward Lead in delivering Glanbia’s Reward Programs across the region. The purpose of the role is to manage the operational delivery of our Reward strategy, programmes and services, under guidance from the Reward Lead, to support the achievement of Glanbia’s People and Business objectives. The role will support the delivery of key initiatives such as the annual reward cycle, market benchmarking and job evaluation services to support business specific initiatives. The role will also manage and maintain key processes and provisions, research reward topics, analyse data and provide advice and guidance to HR colleagues and People Leaders on Reward issues.


Key Accountabilities

  • Play a key role in the delivery of the annual reward cycle (salary review and STIP awards) for the region in collaboration with HR colleagues
  • Provide an independent and responsive job evaluation and benchmarking service to HRBPs within agreed time and quality standards
  • Perform all reward benchmarking activities (including salary survey review, market analysis & pay positioning) to agreed quality standards
  • Support the development of regional salary structures
  • Input into the annual compensation survey submission process, obtain insights and monitor market trends to deliver data driven insights and recommendation
  • Support the delivery of financial and non-financial Recognition schemes 
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc Reward reports and analysis
  • Support global and regional reward projects as required
  • Support HRBPs and People Leaders to leverage reward solutions
  • Work with external providers, as appropriate, to deliver agreed Reward plans and activities
  • Constantly look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Reward delivery
  • Develop procedures to monitor, assess and improve the delivery of existing programs
  • Liaises with the People Success organization to ensure the effective delivery of Reward processes



  • Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. HR or Finance



  • Previous experience working as a reward professional, supporting multiple countries in a large complex organisation
  • Proven record of successfully working with others to implement the reward agenda across a region
  • Strong understanding of Reward policies and programs
  • A continuous improvement mind set, driven to deliver best practice
  • Experience of Job Evaluation methodologies (e.g. WTW GGS)
  • Ability to complete and interpret Reward Surveys
  • Excellent analytical, communications and stakeholder management skills
  • A strong teammate that can work independently as part of a Global team
  • Highly resourceful and a consistent ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and self-driven

  • Proven track record in supporting the implementation of successful reward programs
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking platforms
  • Project management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment; calm under pressure
  • Experience in manufacturing/food industry preferred
  • SuccessFactors experience a plus
