The Opportunity 

Responsible for organizing schedules and assigning all work to be done on production equipment, including daily, monthly, semi-annual and annual rebuilds.  This position will work closely with the production management and maintenance personnel to ensure that the facility is up to the required standards.  This permanent position will report to the Maintenance Manager and will; 

  • Coach and develop Maintenance Mechanics.
  • Identify and implement process optimization projects in the safest and environmentally friendly manner possible.
  • Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities.
  • Model Glanbia values, policies and procedures. 

  The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from leaders, clients and customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Provide leadership to others through examples and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

The opportunity will be based in Clovis, NM. Southwest Cheese is the world’s largest manufacturer of cheese/whey products and is located in Clovis, New Mexico.  It is a joint venture between Glanbia and The Greater Southwest Agency and provides ample opportunity for career growth and experience in a fast-paced, high-performing enterprise. Shifts are on a rotation every three months and is a 12-hour shift.
