The Opportunity 

Provides training support to Southwest Cheese Site management through interviewing and testing new hires, new hire orientation, certification of employees, support for plant management and human resources, identifying and implementing process optimization projects, training new hires and internal movements, and writing and updating SOP.

• Responsible for initial interviews and testing (if required) of potential candidates.
• Model Southwest Cheese values, policies, and procedures. 
• Oversee new hire orientation, train new and recently promoted employees in various areas as necessary.
• Oversee certifications for forklifts and other manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct audits to ensure employees perform tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP).
• Provide support for performance improvement activities.
• Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses, and uphold the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
• Comply with occupational safety and health standards. (Safe Quality Foods, Food, and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

The Skills you will bring to the team

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, recording keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
