The Opportunity 

 

The Commercial Finance Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to apply analytical thinking, knowledge of data analysis and methodologies to create and analyse reports with forecasted performance.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Financial Analysis - Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including sales performance, profitability, pricing, and costs. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to drive business growth and profitability. Support Commercial Finance on driving culture of Qtr Channel P&L reviews and guide commercial team on building understanding of the entire Channel P&L.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the commercial business unit. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish financial targets and track performance against goals.
  • Performance Marketing - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the financial health and performance of the commercial business unit. Review actuals vs plans Trade spends and provide clear insights to the Commercial Team on key actions. Manage trade promotions Spends for the India. Review all claims received from National distributors/customers for FDM, Specialty and Online Channel. Provide regular reports and updates to management on financial performance and variance analysis.
  • Business Partnering - Partner with commercial teams and stakeholders to provide financial insights, analysis, and support for decision-making. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive revenue growth and cost optimization initiatives. Periodic reconciliation and no dues process assurance for all Distributors at Qtr level
  • Financial Modeling - Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making. Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, pricing changes, and business expansion opportunities Ensure timely and accurate month close preparation and review.
  • Ad hoc Analysis and Projects - Support ad hoc analysis, projects, and initiatives as required by senior management or business leaders. Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment proposals

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

 

  • 2+ years experienced in FMCG /Foods & Beverages / Healthcare.
  • CA/ Tier-1/2 MBA Finance
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • SAP Knowledge preferable
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
