Associate Manager, Customer Planning & Strategy

Role Summary:

As the Associate Manager, Customer Planning & Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies and driving growth across key brands. You’ll collaborate closely with brand organizations and customer teams, ensuring seamless execution of joint business plans. If you’re passionate about sports nutrition, strategic thinking, and building strong customer relationships, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to GPN’s continued success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Alignment:

    • Act as the primary liaison between brand organizations and customer teams.
    • Translate sales strategies into actionable plans, supporting customer sales teams in achieving targets.
    • Analyze data for key customer presentations and develop self-serve sales tools.
  2. Brand Collaboration:

    • Guide customer-specific products (e.g., displays, exclusive items) through the stage gate process.
    • Execute category/brand plans tailored to specific channels.
    • Foster understanding of assortment, display, pricing, and shelving principles.
  3. Customer Engagement:

    • Provide expertise on customer resets and retail event calendars.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts (customer account teams, trade development, marketing, and finance).
    • Support impactful shopper marketing programs consistent with brand strategies\

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance.
  • 4-5 years of experience in sales, brand management, or channel/trade marketing in North America.
  • Direct customer sales experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with larger brand portfolio organizations within consumer packaged goods (CPG) is a plus

  • Ability to create persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights.
  • Effective communication and collaboration in cross-functional settings.
  • Analytical acumen and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, NIQ, SPINS, Tableau, and web tools.
