We have a great opportunity for a Director of Human Resources role that provides HR leadership and guidance to the Americas (North and South America) for the Commercial, Growth, and Communication organizations.  The Director of Human Resources will act as a trusted advisor and coach to help fulfill the business objectives through human capital and people leadership. This successful candidate will possess a high degree business savvy, resourcefulness, initiative and will also be culturally astute.  


Key Accountabilities

  • Partners with the CGO, CCO and Senior Director of Communications to co-create and implement people strategy that supports regional growth ambitions and delivers real business impact.
  • Anticipates business needs and takes the initiative to drive solutions in effective, value-added way.
  • Leads and measures business impact of people programs and practices and adjusting nimbly.
  • Embeds diversity equity and inclusion into the fabric of the organization.
  • Serves as employee champion and enhances the employee experience to realize our Purpose, Values and Culture. 
  • Operates as an HR advisor to leaders, providing coaching, counseling, and support as needed.
  • Fosters and champions a high performing culture which a) brings our mission to life through the employee experience b) is grounded in our purpose and values and c) delivers high levels of engagement, inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Champions and advocates Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and implements programs effectively across functions.
  • Guides talent and organization to enhance succession plans, career development and build capability through organizational people reviews.
  • Ensures all employee relations matters are managed appropriately.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition to ensure a deliberate approach to attracting and retaining top talent from both inside and outside the organization.
  • Analyzes and provide guidance on current organizational current state and future requirements, diagnosing issues and developing solutions.
  • Designs and implements succession planning solutions as necessary and appropriate.
  • Creates and implements retention strategies to minimize unwanted attrition, particularly in business unit critical roles and specialty skill sets.
  • Drives annual Performance Development Plan process as well as Total Rewards processes in partnership with business leaders to ensure alignment with our Total Reward Philosophy.
  • Collaborates with HR Center of Excellence and GBS teams to deliver an enhanced employee experience and deliver on human capital goals.

  • Proven experience in developing strong relationships and successfully interfacing with all organizational levels is critical.
  • Can work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, high growth environment and navigate ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering sustainable business results through best-in-class people practices that position an organization for scale and growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate organizational change utilizing a full spectrum of change methods.
  • A versatile leader with the ability to have a strategic focus and ability to deliver operationally as required.
  • Strong process discipline, analytical skills and drive for results coupled with sound business and commercial acumen.
  • A non-political, straightforward team player who can quickly establish themselves as a valued member of the HR and business team. Collaborates well across all areas of the organization.
  • Excellent consulting, coaching, communication and facilitation skills.



  • Minimum: bachelor's degree. Preferred: master's degree, MBA or relevant functional discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive human resources or related experience, including 5+ years in people management roles.
  • Ability to think strategically, build an agenda, and translate concepts into actionable items to deliver.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results that contribute significantly to the business.
  • HR experience in Canada, United States, Mexico and Brazil preferred.
  • Prior experience leading significant organizational change/transformation efforts that deliver business impact
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and ambitious.
