Senior Brand Manager - Storytelling/ATL

The Senior Brand Manager - Global Marketing will be responsible for overseeing Brand Storytelling and Integrated Marketing Campaigns at the Global level, while providing support to Region Marketing teams to enable local market Above-the-Line activtations.  ey areas of responsibility include evoloving consumer messaging consistent with Brand Positioning, leading Creative breifings, overseeing production of primary Marketing assets and management of direct reports.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Drive Brand growth through development of breakthrough Storytelling to reach consumer target groups, in line with OPTIMUM NUTRITION brand role and voice.
  • Own creative brief writing with collaboration from Regional Marketing leads, tailored to address specific objectives within the purchase funnel and target audience(s).
  • Ensure creative asset development milestones and campaign launch dates are successfully met on time.
  • Manage cross-functional teams including Regional Marketing leadership and internal/external creative agency partners.
  • Partner with Region Marketing and Commercial leadership teams to drive marketing objectives (awareness, consideration, trial, and loyalty) for aligned with overall strategic brand growth initiatives.
  • Execute initiatives with agencies and in-house creative team to create/improve advertising copy, media plans, and integrated marketing programs.
  • Manage and develop junior marketers supporting Optimum Nutrition.
  • Must have a strong understanding and passion for compelling Storytelling and Equity-building campaign development.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Thorough understanding of Brand Positioning elements, development process, and guideline criteria.
  • Ability to comprehensively understand and convert consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into brand strategy & communication plans.
  • Successful track record of developing creative methods of growing brands through storytelling.
  • Knowledge of advertising process and creative asset evaluation.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing/influencing teams including agency partners.
  • Established background of creative brief development, delivery and production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Ability to navigate from the strategic level to the tactical/executional level fluidly.

     

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus.
  • 6+ years experience developing consumer communication campaigns and integrated marketing programs.
  • B2C experience with CPG brands preferred.
