Job Purpose:  

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is the world’s leading premium sports nutrition company with Optimum Nutrition, BSN, ABB, Nutramino, Isopure, Think Thin, Body & Fit, Amazing Grass & Slimfast brands in the portfolio today.  GPN is the fastest growth driver within Glanbia group (€3.7bn revenue in 2018) with revenue ambition of €6bn by 2022 with €1.8bn from GPN division.  GPN delivered €1.2bn revenue in 2018, +9.5% versus prior year with EBITA margin of 14.7%. 

We have a clear growth ambition for growth.  This growth will come from a combination of organic sales growth, strategic acquisitions and expansion of market presence within specific geographies. With this growth rate comes significant and rapid change, both organizationally and strategically.  We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is passionate about the sports nutrition industry and also able to effectively lead within this scale and pace of change/business growth. Specifically, this role holder will have various leading responsibilities across forecasting, analysis and commercial support for the Glanbia Performance Nutrition business across EMEA. This is a 3 - 6 month contract role.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and update of all price lists for the EMEA GPN business with a key focus on accuracy & standardisation of pricing approach.
  • Own the update of customer order forms ensuring that prices & associated invoicing to customers reflect latest agreed price as per GPN systems & records.
  • Ensure that adequate pricing controls are in place with a focus on maintaining a robust overall control framework around any pricing changes.
  • Work with business stakeholders & any relevant third parties to simplify the number and maintenance of price lists on SAP, ultimately arriving at a “fit for purpose” pricing hierarchy for the GPN EMEA business.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed analysis and understanding of our Price Pack architecture with a view to identifying  opportunities to present pricing proposals that help GPN win in the market place
  • Work with commercial colleagues to support preparation of value chains that are aimed at preparing pricing proposals based on cost impacts & market conditions.
  • Attend and present pricing proposals at meetings with existing and new potential clients
  • Support the overall FP&A team in delivery of Revenue & Margin estimates by country during month end, budgeting & forecasting cycles.
  • Ensure accurate and timely response to pricing requests according to predefined rules
  • Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of pricing records in system SAP
  • Prepare documentation and collect information related to the calculation of recommended selling prices for review with Commercial Controller
  • To support management in rate changes on monthly renewals
  • Assess risk and price profitably on new and existing business.
  • Liaise with client services and relationship managers in relation to pricing queries
  • Prepare and issue weekly work activity reports to the FP&A manager.
  • Ensuring ownership is taken of all the queries received by the team
  • Liaise with Customer service and technical personnel as appropriate
  • Liaise with Purchasing Department on Raw Materials updated costs
  • Liaise with Account Managers as appropriate

Skills, Know How and experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role working in a multinational environment
  • Ideally a strong SAP (or similar system) pricing or master data background.
  • Working knowledge of financial modelling
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Advanced Excel
  • Passion for the sports nutrition industry
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and ambitious
  • High energy, high creativity but ability to work through the basics too
