We have an opportunities for experienced Sales Development Managers to join Glanbia Ireland. Reporting to and working closely with the Regional Sales Managers, the successful candidate will effectively manage a team of agents, canvassers and 3rd party providers across a range of Doorstep, Wholesale and Retail Customers to achieve the sales, distribution and margin mix targets for their area.

 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of doorstep agent’s needs and requirements and efficiently meet and deliver these needs.
  • Expand the relationships with existing agents by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives in line with our growth strategy, with the key focus being on Value Added Milk.
  • Play an integral part in generating new doorstep agents that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Develop and build a professional business relationship with all retail customers through regular visits to review sales and space performance.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner in line with orders and agreed delivery.
  • Serve as the link of communication between all customers and deal with complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal stakeholders.
  • Where necessary, engage and coach agents delivering to shops for and on behalf of Glanbia.
  • Support agents in management of own sales to their own customer base.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in Business or a related subject.
  • 3 years’ experience in a sales or management role.
  • Computer skills to ECDL or similar.
  • Resilience and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering on targets and deadlines.
  • Experienced in problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability in consistently developing new ideas which will benefit both the business and the customer.
  • Active participation at team and cross functional team meetings.
