The Opportunity 

 

Foodarom is part of Glanbia Nutritionals, the global ingredient solutions provider to the food & beverage, infant & clinical and functional nutrition markets. Glanbia Nutritionals has a direct sales presence in 21 countries, with manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China. Foodarom has big ambitions for the EMEA region. We’re looking for someone with similar ambition who can build on the great progress made over recent years and help establish Foodarom as a leader in the functional food and nutraceuticals space in Europe. The role will cover France and Benelux where we have a solid presence today but also UK and Ireland where we eager to grow. Our preference is for a candidate located in France or Belgium but we are open to other French speakers. The person will be responsible for the maintenance of existing customers as well as the development of new and potential customers in the assigned territory. This is a permanent position.

 

  • Nurture and develop relationships and business with existing customers
  • Leverage all available tools, in particular social media but also formal insights/reports/publications, tradeshows and market contacts to profile market and identify opportunities
  • Vet and develop new prospects and commercial projects as they arise
  • Liaise with product management and R&D in the development of new projects/ opportunities
  • Leverage efficiently our R&D centers to co-create with customers to create great products
  • Travel to customers for face-to-face meetings to promote new products, enhance customer relationships, address any product queries and ensure we are offering full product portfolio
  • Actively participate in the development, coordination and execute our customer strategy and activation plans
  • Prepare sales quotes, negotiate pricing and provide business solutions to effectively close sales
  • Maintain strong and up to date knowledge on full product portfolio and applications
  • Stay current with latest industry news and trends by involvement in industry events, tradeshows, social outings, seminars, memberships in industry organizations and magazine subscriptions
  • Liaise with customer service and other internal functions on all customer queries/complaints and in general on ensuring customer receives the highest level of service possible
  • Review all available internal data to track and monitor financial and operational performance

  

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Food/Nutrition Science or Sales & Marketing
  • Experience managing an established customer base in the B2B food sector
  • Experience within the Flavor industry preferred but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in French and English
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Experience with C4C is a plus
  • Experience of and comfortable interacting with LinkedIn and other social media platforms
  • Strong commercial acumen and ambition to grow and develop new business
  • Results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive and or/negative situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, customers and vendors with the utmost professionalism.

Where and how you will work  

The opportunity will be based in France or Belgium in a home office.There will be at least 50% travel involved for the successful candidate.
