India and South Asia are Strategic Priorities for Glanbia with an ambition towards 4X growth and rapid scale up, both structurally and with system capability. The incumbent must be able to effectively lead in such an entrepreneurial environment of scale-up and pace of change.

 

The Head of Digital and Social will play a pivotal role in shaping Glanbia’s digital presence in India.  Purpose of this role is to lead the digital media marketing and oversee the partnerships with sports/ fitness ambassadors and advocates. With the world’s leading sports nutrition brand, Optimum Nutrition (ON), Glanbia has a significant impact on the fitness and wellness industry.  As Head of Digital and Social, you will handle the media planning & buying, content marketing, social media and DTC performance campaigns for India.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Digital Media Planning and Buying:

  • Crafting Strategies: You’ll develop comprehensive digital media strategies tailored to the Indian market. These strategies will encompass various channels, including social media, content marketing, and performance campaigns.
  • Media Planning and Buying: You’ll oversee media planning and buying, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and effective reach.
  • DTC Website Management: Managing the direct-to-consumer (DTC) website (optimumnutrition.co.in) is a crucial responsibility. You’ll enhance user experience and website visits through Performance Marketing initiatives.

 

Social Media Management:

  • Collaborate with the social media agency and brand teams to create a monthly social content calendar.
  • Ensure consistent and engaging content across GPN’s social media channels.
     

Partnerships and Advocacy:

  • Brand Ambassadors and Advocates: Collaborate closely with sports and fitness ambassadors. These influential figures will help amplify ON’s message and engage with the target audience.
  • Influencer Marketing Plan: Work hand-in-hand with Brand Heads (Optimum Nutrition ON and Isopure) to create a robust influencer marketing plan. This plan should align with brand goals, emphasizing reach, engagement, and redemption for influencers/coaches.
     

Measurement and Analysis:

  • Monitor and track social and community metrics for Optimum Nutrition (ON) and Isopure.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve performance.
     

SEO/SEM:

  • Enhance digital visibility for GPN’s products and brands through effective SEO and SEM practices.
  • Optimize sponsored and organic search results.

Social Listening:

  • Analyze social listening data to gain insights into consumer sentiment and market trends.
  • Share relevant findings to inform decision-making.
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strategic understanding of the media and digital landscape.
  • Proficiency in metrics-driven campaigns and in Performance marketing.
  • Ability to manage celebrity relationships, large influencer communities, and significant partnerships.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends.
  • Passion for sports, lifestyle, and fitness.


Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in marketing or mass communications from top institutes.
  • 9-10 years of full-time experience post-graduation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital/social mandates for FMCG brands.
  • This role requires a collaborative team player who can navigate the dynamic world of digital marketing effectively.
