An opportunity now exists for a dynamic HR Officer to join the HR Team. Reporting to the HR Business Partner for Agribusiness Growth this role will develop and deliver progressive and focused people initiatives. The successful candidate will work with the HR centres of excellence (Learning & Development, Engagement and Talent Acquisition) in implementing these initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the HR Business Partner to implement the HR strategy for the business while working across the areas of talent management, learning and development, performance management, capability development and workforce planning.
  • Contribute strongly to building a high performance culture in Agribusiness, working closely with line managers to ensure that all employees have clear performance goals; are measured, managed and rewarded effectively in line with the achievement of those goals; and receive the required support to optimise their performance. 
  • Provide support to business managers to manage employee relations issues, monitor issues to identify trends or business impacts and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Work with our People Services team in the provision of advice of our HR policies, relevant legislation and best practice. 
  • Contribute strongly to the development of innovative approaches to employee engagement and proactive employee feedback gathering mechanisms.
  • Support business managers in the development of talent and succession management plans for their teams.  Support the business in identifying employee skills/development gaps and recommending learning and development activities.
  • Support line managers in the management of absence and occupational health issues that may arise.  Liaise with relevant Occupational health service providers.
  • Interpret, share with the business, and act on relevant HR information and analytics to support and drive effective business decision making.


Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience of working within a HR team in a large scale organisation.
  • Strong Operational HR systems experience – SAP is desirable.
  • Strong  IT competence and technology experience:
  • MS Office -  Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Intranet/SharePoint /Yammer employee communication tools
