Marketing and Loyalty Executive

18 month contract

An exciting opportunity has become available in Glanbia Ireland’s Agribusiness Growth Category, which supports our 52-branch network of both agri and gardening centres under the Glanbia and CountryLife brands.

Reporting to the Retail Marketing Manager, this maternity cover role is responsible for the implementation of promotional campaigns, driving brand awareness of the supporting the marketing manager on strategic projects. The successful individual will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the retail loyalty programme and associated campaigns.  The role is based in Kilkenny, however, we are flexible on location. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Retail Marketing Manager in the design and execution of retail marketing campaigns.
  • Perform analysis and reporting on campaign performance and customer loyalty activities.
  • Work closely with Retail Category Support teams to execute merchandising and promotional campaigns in-store.
  • Develop retail marketing Agribusiness and Horticulture content and collateral, in line with our commercial and communications strategies.
  • Take a lead role in the development of digital content, with a particular emphasis on social media. Tracking performance against KPI’s to ensure we are achieving objectives.
  • Management of instore and out of store events to ensure our brands are represented to the highest standards, with a focus on driving sales.
  • Liaising cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure plans are delivered in full, on time and within budget.
  • Support in the roll out and communications of internal campaigns to drive staff engagement and ultimately staff sales, which support our retail and ecommerce channels.
  • Perform analysis/scanning of market and technology trends across the retail, agri and loyalty landscape.

 

Key Requirements:

  • A Marketing and/or related third level qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant Marketing Executive role.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in Excel, PowerPoint and Visio also an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to execute against plans and targets
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of working on own initiative.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in contributing to large-scale retail marketing campaigns a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of retail marketing and loyalty trends across industries
  • In-depth understanding of the dairy and horticulture industry would be a distinct advantage.
