The Position

This hands-on position will be responsible for managing the Amazing Grass product portfolio and driving growth specifically through marketing, in-store/customer specific marketing activities, supporting base business management and new product launch plans. The role is both strategic and tactical in nature. 


This position will be based in Amazing Grass’ offices in Newport Beach, CA and will report to the Director of Marketing.


Major Responsibilities

  • Evaluate program performance, identify competitive threats and conduct primary and secondary research to inform brand strategies and plans and to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead the development of promotional plans for all categories and channels in which we compete
  • Collaborates with sales leads to build customer presentations (category management, new item sell in, retail marketing support plans)
  • Manage cross-functional teams via execution of strong project management for new product launches. Execute innovation pipeline projects and ensure key project milestones are successfully met on time.
  • Support Marketing Director in development of business cases as needed for new brand platforms that will include development of strategic rationale, product positioning, size of prize, and project financials.
  • Support and/or lead the development and delivery of a range of innovation and portfolio maintenance projects including product renovation tasks with the Marketing Director and cross-functional teams. 
  • Lead all aspects of projects to allow for execution with excellence, including but not limited to: Timeline management, cross-functional team motivation, budget management, legal/trademark/contract clearance, creative direction and approvals, executive and customer sell-in.
  • Helps develop and drive brand strategy across all consumer and customer touch points.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with Sales, Finance and Operations in order to ensure effective, timely and profitable program execution and meet revenue and customer objectives.
  • Supports sales demo activity and store within a store concept
  • Develops, in conjunction with brand and sales team, launch support plans, associated best in class sales/marketing materials (including sell sheets, sales decks, marketing calendars, etc.) for new items.
  • Leads international marketing plans and provides sales support for international markets.
  • Monitor sales, margin, and volume across key products and categories. Develop and implement action plans to address any unexpected weak areas.
  • Closely monitors and reports on category and consumer trends as well as competitive marketing activity (i.e. social media tactics, advertising creative/copy) with the ability to assess key marketing opportunities and threats. 
  • Leads syndicated data reporting, monthly state of business and post analysis and measurement of promotions and initiatives.


Essential Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA in marketing or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience with shopper, customer marketing and/or brand management
  • CPG experience preferably in food/beverage space.  Experience in both large company and entrepreneurial environment a plus.
  • Experience with syndicated data Spins, Nielsen or IRI: strong capability working with sources to create fact based selling stories, consumption reports and measure effectiveness of promotional programs.
  • Passion for healthy, active lifestyle brands and delivering natural and organic products to consumers.
