Customer Service Coordinator

The Customer Service Business Coordiantor is responsible for woning the customer relationship from a product supply perspective relative to daily essential tasks for exisiting customer accounts.  They are a key account contact for strategic accounts.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Direct account ownership of strategic top 10 customers from an end to end Product Supply standpoint which includes but is not limited to:
    • Face to the customer/buyer managing day to day tasks and communications
    • Purchase Order review to address issues with discontinuations, pricing, or units of measure
    • Work closely with GPN Sales and Pricing Coordinator on all Customer pricing matters
    • Ownership of the end to end order process to coordinate for pick, pack, and shipment
    • Working with GPN Supply Planning and Demand Planning teams related to material service issues
    • Create & optimize truck loads for customer shipments and delivery notes for Warehouse
    • Working with GPN Logistics teams related to Customer PO execution
    • Working with GPN Finance teams on coding and appropriate processing of returns and deductions
    • Perform any backend research required related to Customer claims in order to ensure necessary backup accompanies and justifies the deduction with accuracy in piece count, pricing, and reason
  • Generate reporting to monitor, track, or control business process or customer requirements
  • Owner of vendor disputes, PO revisions or edits, carrier routing and tender on the customer portal
  • Primary point of contact for internal Sales counterparts up to the VP level on issue resolution, order execution against upcoming promotions, open order versus inventory status, and revenue pacing  
  • Work direct with key contacts at the customer (Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Manager) to provide visibility to vendor performance, and to identify areas of opportunity in driving supply chain efficiencies
  • Oversee all Customer Service improvement projects and implementations related to strategic account assignments and requirements at the direction of Director of Customer Service and Supply Chain
  • Work direct with key contacts at the customer (Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Manager) to ensure compliance to policy or to assist with navigating through any changes or new implementations  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of Customer Service function and working environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced growing environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and administrative skills
  • Documented ability to multi-task
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of SAP SD and pricing procedures
  • Working knowledge of EDI transactions
  • Broad based knowledge of Supply Chain organization
  • Experience handling larger strategic Customers

     

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired and 4 years of customer service or like experience
