The Opportunity 

The role of the R&D Laboratory Technician is to support the flavor creation and applications team. This permanent position will report to the Food Technologist.  

• Prepare flavors according to their formulation
• Participate in the current activities of the flavor creation laboratory
• Perform research and modification of data
• Participate in the various activities of research projects, preparation of formulations according to customer requirements
• Prepare finished application prototypes
• Prepare shipments
• Order raw materials and maintain a stocked inventory for the lab
• Take measurements of analytical data on flavors.
• Respect and participate in maintaining the company's food safety values in connection with the system and quality standards in place (HACCP / SQF)
• Comply with industry GHPs (Good Hygiene Practices) / GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the industry;

 The Skills you will bring to the team

• Relevant experience in the food sector or chemistry industry
• Relevant experience in the field of chemical analyses (GCMS)
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices in the food industry;
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards;
• Good interpersonal skills and spirit of collaboration
• Excellent sense of organization, precision and thoroughness while having a good speed of execution
• Able to manage priorities and stress
• Autonomy
• Able to use critical thinking to solve problems
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Able to perform medium intensity of physical work for a short period and lift 50 lbs.
