The Channel Business Development Manager will focus on embedding our current capabilities and driving new ones into our organization; all with the goal of meeting growth and financial targets for both GPN and our customers. The purpose is to provide a consistent and evolving perspective while ensuring our sales teams have the resources required to be the go-to manufacturer for growth in our categories.

 

In this role you will: 

 

  • Indirectly manage and influence the full cross functional team
  • Lead sales through the annual customer planning process
  • Execute the monthly business review process to ensure plans are always up to date and optimized
  • Be the go-to resource for our sales teams to consistently deliver our growth ambition
  • Ensure our investment strategy is on plan and delivered on budget

 

 

Support our ways of working:

  • Marshaling their sales area to deliver planning on time, in full
  • Ensure optimized investment profiles and bringing sales and our customers along with us
  • Leveraging data and analytics to show what's happening and the opportunities we have
  • Managing multiple priorities to ensure we deliver and maintain cross functional engagement
  • Bring visibility to barriers to execution to ensure we make decisions with pace, based on sound analytics
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and create a coherent set of conclusions and insights that are translatable into actions
  • Ability to present to multi-functional and work level audience at GPN and at our customers
  • Leadership abilities to manage change and adoption within the business

 

Looking for:

  • 5-8 years min CPG business expertise with either financial, trade or RGM
  • Ability to understand and exploit business drivers
  • Knowledge of the CPG industry, its customers and channels
  • Experience with point of sale, panel and financial data
  • Ability to deliver growth expectations

 

 

 

Channel Business Development Manager is a core competency within the CPG industry. Executing with sales the customer planning process, optimizing investments, understanding the fundamental building blocks and their value to deliver growth all while being a strategic resource for sales is a fundamental capability for any business.
