Job Summary

Listen to, communicate with, and gain the confidence of customers, both internal and external.  Must have the ability to visualize situations from the customer's perspective and meet their expectations.  Handle customer complaints and requests via phone and email  promptly and proficiently.


Essential Functions

  • Organize all customer orders and ensure they are in the system
  • Consistently meet and exceed customer expectations, both external and internal
  • Manage daily cheese pricing and accuracy of invoices  pertaining to relevant accounts
  • Prepare various sales department reports and other order scheduling responsibilities.
  • Manage customers’ expectations through coordinating with logistics, warehouse, and the production team on shipment schedules, changes, and/or delays
  • Anticipate customer needs; focus on the “pro-active” rather than the “re-active”
  • Grow and strengthen customer relationships through excellent customer service
  • Support in the communication to customers with other Glanbia business units


  • Requires an Associate’s Degree, a minimum of three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly involves sitting, talking or listening and the use of hands and fingers.
  • Frequently standing and walking.
  • Occasionally involves reaching with hands and arms, and tasting or smelling.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, and works with the fingers.
  • Involves sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Should be able to ability to identify and distinguish colors and clearly see at 20 inches or less.


Typical Environmental Conditions

  • May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment or light traffic).

Travel Requirements

    • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
